Prayer January 1 Genesis 1-2 ..................... Psalms 1-2 ...................... Matthew 1-2
O God! You are my Creator. You created me in your own image. Help me to show the Godly character of my Creator. Thank you for all of your creation.
Help me to delight in the law of the Lord and to never walk in the counsel of the wicked nor stand in the way of sinners. May I never set myself against you; but rather let me serve you with fear and let me rejoice with trembling.
I thank you that your Son was born and that he fulfilled the purpose You had for him. He came to save me from my sins. My thanksgiving, my praise, and my worship is to you O Lord. I request every petition in Jesus’ name and in his name I pray. Amen.
Prayer January 2 Genesis 3-4 ..................... Psalms 3-5 ...................... Matthew 3-4
O Lord do not send me away from your presence. I know that if I do well, I will be accepted. And if I do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Sin’s desire is contrary to me, but I must rule over it. Forgive my every sin I pray today.
Help me to ponder in my heart your steadfast love and abundant mercy—for you are a shield about me, and my glory. You lift up my head. When I cry aloud to the Lord, he answers me from his holy hill. Help me that when I am angry that I do not sin; but rather let me ponder in my heart on my bed and let me learn how to be silent.
Help me to have a repentant heart and to recognize your kingdom. I pray that you will baptize me with the Holy Spirit and fire and that I might proclaim the gospel to others. My thanksgiving, my praise, and my worship is to you O Lord. I request every petition in Jesus’ name and in his name I pray. Amen.
Prayer January 3 Genesis 5-6 ..................... Psalms 6-8 ...................... Matthew 5
O Lord, when you created me, you made me in the your likeness. You blessed me and named me when I was created; but I have grieved you. Father forgive me I pray. And help me to find grace in your eyes.
Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled. My shield is with God, who saves the upright in heart. I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High; for you set the heavens and suns and stars and the moon in place. They are the work of your fingers! I adore your majesty! I am humbled today; for what is a lowly man that you are mindful of him. Yet you hear me when I pray.
Today I hunger and thirst for righteousness—satisfy my hunger and thirst I pray. May I be of use as both salt and light. Let my light shine before others—letting them see you in me. May I always be mindful of my brother and be reconciled to him if I am angry with him before I make my offerings to you. Now let me be merciful so that I may receive mercy from you. I give all the glory and honor and worship to you; for it belongs to you. In Jesus’ name I ask for each petition today. Amen.
Prayer January 4 Genesis 7-8 ..................... Psalms 9-10 .................... Matthew 6
O Lord, my Lord, help me to be seen as righteous before you in this generation. I thank you that while the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease. You remain the same. Keep me in you I pray.
I give thanks to you with my whole heart and recount all your wonderful deeds in my life. Now I know O Lord, that you hear the desire of the afflicted; and that you will strengthen my heart; and that you will incline your ear to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed. I pray for justice in this world.
I pray today that your will be done on this earth as it is in heaven. Now help me to forgive others that have trespassed against me so that I will be forgiven by you! In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 5 Genesis 9-10 ................... Psalms 11-13 .................. Matthew 7
O Lord! Thank you today for your promise to never again destroy the world by water. Thank you that I often seen the sign of this promise—a beautiful rainbow. Now keep in you for that day when you destroy this earth with fire.
You, O Lord are righteous; you love righteous deeds. Help my deeds to be righteous before you; for the upright shall behold your face. I desire to see you face to face. May I never plunder the poor nor cause them to groan. Help them, and me, to find a place of safety in you. Your words are pure, as pure as silver that has been refined seven times. I trust in your Word. Now guard me from the wickedness that is prevalent in this world. Help me to trust in your steadfast love; and my heart to rejoice in your salvation. Now I will sing to the you, because you have dealt bountifully with me.
Now help me to leave all judging of others to you, the righteous judge that sees the heart and knows the heart and the intent of the heart. Help me to never forget that if I ask of you, I will receive, and if I seek, I will find, and if I knock you will open. Help me to abide in you so that whatever I wish that others would do to me, that I will also do to them! In Jesus’ name I ask for all of these things. Amen.
Prayer January 6 Genesis 11-12 ................. Psalms 14-16 .................. Matthew 8
O Lord, do not let me decide to try to make a name for myself; but rather let me exalt your name. I bless the children of Abram; for I have been blessed through his seed—through Jesus the Son of God!
When you look down upon me may you see understanding and a desire to seek after you. Help me walk blamelessly and do what is right. Speak truth in my heart. Let me be a person that does not slander with my tongue and who does no evil to a neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against a friend; but help me be a person that honors those who fear the Lord. May I never take a bribe against the innocent; for I believe that if I follow your precepts I shall never be moved. Preserve me, O God, for in you I take refuge. You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Now let me fear no one but you, O Lord. Give me a greater measure of faith I pray. Faith to always trust you; for even the winds and the sea obey your commands! Help me that I always obey you. Then I know that you will keep me from the storms of life. In Jesus’ name I pray for all of these things. Amen.
Prayer January 7 Genesis 13-14 ................. Psalms 17 ....................... Matthew 9
O Lord! I pray that there will be no strife between me and my relatives and my friends. May I always take an humble attitude and allow others to choose first. Let me be like Abraham that pursued his kinsman and others to bring them back when the enemy has taken them away.
Give ear to my prayer today. I pray that when you have tested me that you will find no fault in me. For I have purposed that my mouth will not transgress against you. You, O Lord have kept my paths and my feet have not slipped. I pray that you will hide me in the shadow of your wings today.
I know that you are my healer. I only need to touch you. You have said that the “… harvest is plentiful.” I pray that you will send laborers into your harvest—Lord send me—that you will encourage and sustain us. Help me to always do the right thing. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of these things. Amen.
Prayer January 8 Genesis 15-16 ................. Psalms 18 ....................... Matthew 10
O Lord! Let my righteousness be that I believe on you. You are a God who sees me and hears me. I call on you for I know that you look after me. Thank you for your care.
You are my rock and my fortress and my deliverer. You are my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I cry to you O Lord for my cry reaches your ears. Thank you for rescuing me and bringing me to broad place in you.
May I go where you send me and say what you want me to say. May I never be anxious of how I am to speak; but rather let me wait until the Holy Spirit speaks through me. May I lose my life for your sake so that I might find it in you. Keep me in-Christ. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of these things. Amen.
Prayer January 9 Genesis 17-18 ................. Psalms 19-21 .................. Matthew 11
O Lord help me to walk before you, and be blameless—to keep the way of the Lord by doing righteousness and by being just. Thank you for keeping covenant with men.
The heavens declare your glory and the sky proclaims your handiwork. You are my creator. Now keep me from presumptuous sin. Don’t let sin have dominion over me. Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable to you, O Lord. May you answer me in the day of my trouble! I rejoice in your salvation; for you have given me my heart's desire and have not withheld the requests of my lips.
You are merciful to me as I labor and am heavy laden. I come to you and you give me rest. Help me to take your yoke upon me and to learn from you for you are gentle and lowly in heart and in you I find rest for my soul. For your yoke is easy and your burden is light. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 10 Genesis 19 ...................... Psalms 22 ....................... Matthew 12
O Lord! Remember me as you remembered Abraham and Lot—keep you hand of protection on me for I are encompassed by a world of evildoers.
May my posterity serve you; may I tell of the Lord to this coming generation; and that they may proclaim your righteousness to a people yet unborn.
I know that I must give an account for every careless word, help me that by my words I will be justified at judgment. Give me this day—no careless words. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 11 Genesis 20-21 ................. Psalms 23-25 .................. Matthew 13
O Lord! When I am in need or in trouble help me to do as Abraham did—call on the name of Lord, the Everlasting God. May I remember to Just Pray!
O Lord! Help me to never fear, for I know that you hear my voice; for you are my shepherd; I shall not want. You make me lie down in green pastures. You lead me beside still waters. You restore my soul and lead me in paths of righteousness for your name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Now help me to have clean hands and a pure heart. Help me that I will not lift up my soul to what is false and help me to not do anything deceitfully. Make me know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long. I remember your mercy, O Lord, and your steadfast love. Remember not the sins of my youth or my transgressions, O Lord!
And in that day when you send your angels to gather out of your kingdom all causes of sin and all law-breakers—help me to be among the righteous that will shine like the sun in the kingdom of my Father. Help me to have ears that hear! In Jesus’ name I ask for all of these things. Amen.
Prayer January 12 Genesis 22-23 ................. Psalms 26-29 .................. Matthew 14
O Lord! Help me to be obedient, even in the hard things, as Abraham was when you told him to offer his son Issac as a burnt offering. He never wavered but prophesied that “…God will provide for himself the lamb for a burnt offering…” Now you have sent the Lamb of God that took away the sins of the world. Thank you for sending your Son.
Help me to walk in integrity so that you vindicate me. May I trust in you without wavering. Prove me, O Lord, and try me; test my heart and my mind. For your steadfast love is always before my eyes. May I walk in your faithfulness; and be like David—to seek to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire in his temple. Now hear the voice of my pleas for mercy, when I cry to you for help, when I lift up my hands toward your most holy sanctuary. I ascribe to the Lord glory and strength, the glory due his name; may I worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.
I find in your word where you, Jesus, prayed often. Help me to find that private place so I can be in your presence only. I want to follow that example and to pray morning, evening and night and to pray without ceasing. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 13 Genesis 24 ...................... Psalms 30 ....................... Matthew 15
O Lord! I bow my head and worship you—Blessed be the Lord my God. For you have not forsaken your steadfast love and faithfulness toward me—you are leading me home!
Now help me to learn to meditate on you, to wait on you, to sing your praises and to give thanks to your holy name. For your anger is but for a moment, and your favor is for a lifetime. I know that weeping may last for the night, but joy comes in the morning. Help me to be patient in the night! Help me to honor you with my lips and may my heart always be near you.
Let not my worship be in vain; but rather let me seek after your Word and not the doctrines of men. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 14 Genesis 25-26 ................. Psalms 31 ....................... Matthew 16
O Lord! Help me to never sell my birthright nor to venture into spiritual Egypt; but rather let me dwell in the land of which you shall tell me. Now be with me and bless me I pray.
Help me to obey your voice and kept your charge, your commandments, your statutes, and your laws. Let me be reminded of how abundant your goodness is—goodness that you have stored up for those who fear you and how you worked for those who take refuge in you in the sight of the children of mankind! In the cover of your presence you hide me from the plots of men. Blessed be the Lord for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me and his abundant mercy.
Let me beware of the leaven of men. For I know that when the Son of Man comes with his angel in the glory of his Father, then I will be repaid according to what I have done. Help me to always do what is right. In Jesus’ Holy Name I ask for all of these petitions. Amen.
Prayer January 15 Genesis 27 ...................... Psalms 32 ....................... Matthew 17
O Lord God! May you give me the dew of heaven and the fatness of the earth. Let me serve you. And may I always bless your children!
May I be blessed in that you count no iniquity against me and that there is no deceit in my spirit. I acknowledged my sin to you, and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. Let me offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found. You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance.
Now may I have faith like a grain of mustard seed—let it grow from a very tiny seed to a tree—so that I may move mountains if they interfere with my worship and praise of you and my right living! In Jesus’ name I pray today. Amen.
Prayer January 16 Genesis 28-29 ................. Psalms 33 ....................... Matthew 18
O, Lord! I have been blessed through your chosen people. I know that you keep your promises—that you will be with me wherever I go and that you will not leave me.
For the word of the Lord is upright, and all his work is done in faithfulness. He loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord. By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
Now help me to become like a child the I may enter the kingdom of heaven. For I know that your eye is on those who fear you and on those who hope in your steadfast love—that you may deliver their soul from death. You promise to be with us when two or three are gathered in your name. When we are gathered and you are there, be our speaker. Speak through each of us, I pray. Now Father forgive me as I forgive others. In Jesus’ Holy Name I pray today. Amen.
Prayer January 17 Genesis 30 ...................... Psalms 34 ....................... Matthew 19
O Lord, help me to deliver children for the kingdom, remember me and listen to my prayers. Help me to bless others as Jacob did and to provide for my family.
I know that the angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them. May I obey the invitation to taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! May I fear the Lord; for those who fear him have no lack! Now help me to listen to you as you teach me the fear of the Lord. Keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking deceit. And help me to turn from evil, to do good, and to seek and pursue peace.
Help me to love my neighbor as myself. Let me ‘sell’ what I possess, give to the poor and follow you! In Jesus’ Holy Name I ask for these petitions today. Amen.
Prayer January 18 Genesis 31 ...................... Psalms 35 ....................... Matthew 20
O Lord, I pray that you will return me to a place of security in you and that you will always be with me. Deliver me from destruction and from those things that would devour me.
O Lord, who is like you, delivering the poor from him who is too strong for him, the poor and needy from him who robs him? For my life I thank you and praise you before all who will listen.
I thank you that your Son gave his life for me and that he was raised the third day and that you sent the Holy Spirit to live in me—to lead me and to guide me. Now I ask that the Holy Spirit lead and direct me into all truth and that your light shine on the path that I must trod. May I serve others as you did. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 19 Genesis 32-33 ................. Psalms 36 ....................... Matthew 21
O Lord, I like Jacob, am not worthy of your steadfast love and faithfulness; but help me to trust you regardless of my fears.
For your steadfast love, O Lord, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the mountains of God; your judgments are like the great deep; man and beast you save, O Lord. For I take refuge in the shadow of your wings and feast on the abundance that you have so graciously provided! Give me drink from the river of your delights.
Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! May I always praise and worship you. Help me to always remain humble as did the King of kings when he came to Jerusalem to face the fulfillment of his salvation plan! Thank you for all things. In Jesus’ name I pray today. Amen.
Prayer January 20 Genesis 34-35 ................. Psalms 37 ....................... Matthew 22
O Lord, help me to not have any gods before you. May I arise and find an altar to the one true God that answers me in my distress and that is with me wherever I go.
Help me to trust in the Lord, and to do good and to befriend faithfulness. May I delight myself in the Lord; for he will give me the desires of my heart. Now let me commit my way to the Lord; trusting in him, for he will act. He will bring forth my righteousness as the light, and my justice as the noonday. Let me be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not myself over the one who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices! But let me refrain from anger, and forsake wrath! For those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the earth. Establish my steps and uphold my hand as I live for you day by day.
Help me to love you with all of my heart, my soul, and my mind. Help me to love my neighbor as myself. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of these things. Amen.
Prayer January 21 Genesis 36 ...................... Psalms 38 ....................... Matthew 23
O Lord let me dwell in peace with my brother and help me to wait on you; for you are my answer.
In you, O Lord I hope. For I know that you will hear me. You will keep my foot from slipping. Remind me to confess my iniquity and to be truly sorry for my sin. Help me to follow the things that are good. Forsake me not, O Lord my God. Be not far from me I pray.
Help me to never neglect the weightier matters of the law; but to seek and give mercy instead for justice. For justice is yours, O Lord. Above all help me to be found faithful to you! In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 22 Genesis 37 ...................... Psalms 39-40 .................. Matthew 24
O Lord help me to neither hate my brother for his dreams nor for his words; but help me to wait patiently for you to hear my cry, to draw me from the pit of destruction.
Let me guard my ways, that I may not sin with my tongue. Let me never be silent or hold my peace from doing good. My hope is in you, O Lord! Deliver me from all of my transgressions. Hear my prayer, O Lord and give ear to my cry. You brought me up out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay. You set my feet upon a rock and make my steps secure. Put a new song in my hearts; a song of praise to you O Lord. Help others to see and fear and put their trust in you and help me to never go astray after a lie. And never let me conceal your lovingkindness.
As the end-of-times nears, help my love to never grow cold; but helps me to endure to the end! In the name of Jesus I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 23 Genesis 38 ...................... Psalms 41-43 .................. Matthew 25
O Lord, help me that I will never be destroyed because I am wicked in your sight; but rather forgive me for all of my trespasses.
Help me to aways consider the poor! For your Word says that in the day of trouble you will deliver me. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. By day the Lord commands his steadfast love, and at night his song is with me, a prayer to the God of my life. Send out your light and your truth to lead me—to bring me to your holy hill and your dwelling. Though my soul may seem cast down and I may be in turmoil my hope is in you O Lord.
I will again praise you for you are my God and the author of my salvation. When you come in your glory help me to be found faithful in serving the least of my brothers; for I know that to serve them is to both serve and please you. I thank you that if I remain faithful I will inherit the kingdom prepared for me by my Father. Now to you O Lord be glory and honor forever! In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 24 Genesis 39-40 ................. Psalms 44 ....................... Matthew 26
O Lord, help me to live in such a way that you will cause all that I do to succeed; success by your standards—not mine. I know that others may forget me; but you remember me always. Be with me Lord and show your steadfast love through me and give me favor in the sight of others just as you did your servant Joseph.
I have heard the truth and the testimony of you from my father; help me that I too will trust in you with all of my heart and soul and mind and strength. In you, O Lord, I boast and I will give thanks to your name forever. You know the secrets of my heart. Redeem me for the sake of your steadfast love.
Remind me that only through prayer will I be able to overcome the weakness of my flesh. Now I ask that your will be done in my life. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 25 Genesis 41 ...................... Psalms 45 ....................... Matthew 27
O Lord, may Spirit of God be in me and may I be discerning and wise in the Holy Ghost. Help me to forget the hardships I have faced and; rather, Lord, help me remember that you have made me fruitful in this world of affliction.
I remember that the cause of truth, meekness and righteous is the standard I should seek. Your throne, O God, is forever. The scepter of your kingdom is uprightness; you have loved righteousness and hated wickedness. Keep me from wickedness, I pray.
Most of all I am thankful for that one day in time when you purchased my salvation! When morning came on that day you stood condemned to die. When evening came your purchase by your blood was complete! Help me to glory in your cross! I thank you for everything. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
Prayer January 26 Genesis 42-43 ................. Psalms 46-48 .................. Matthew 28
O Lord, help me to forgive and have compassion for my brothers and to fear God as Joseph did. And let me repent of every wrong done to my brother and be reconciled to him.
You are my refuge and strength and you help me in all of my troubles. You are great O Lord and greatly to be praised! I will not fear when the earth is trembling with change; even when mountains are moved into the sea; even when the enemy seems to prevail for you are my strength and my haven.
Now help me to do as you commanded and make disciples of all nations and to observe all that you have commanded me to do. Please help me to discern between your commandments and those of man. In Jesus’ name I ask all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 27 Genesis 44-45 ................. Psalms 49 ....................... Romans 1-2
Just as Joseph’s brothers passed his testing, I pray that I will pass your testing today. Now O Lord, revive me when I consider that your Son is alive just as Jacob was revived when he was told, “Your son Joseph is alive!
Help my mouth to speak wisdom; and let the meditation of my heart be understanding. For he has ransomed me; for no man can ransom another for the ransom of life cost your Son his life! For without you to make me alive, I would perish as the beast of the field. Through the death of your Son I have hope of escaping the pit and living forever.
May I never be ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. May I be righteous and live by faith. I know that you will render to me on that day according to my works. Help me be patient as I seek to do well in your kingdom. Above all help me to obey truth! In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen
Prayer January 28 Genesis 46-47 ................. Psalms 50 ....................... Romans 3-4
O Lord, help me to go when you say go and to return when you say return. I will even go to Egypt if you go with me and bring me up again!
The Mighty One, God the Lord speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting. When you come you do not keep silent—you judge your people. The heavens declare your righteousness. You are God, my God! Now I will offer thanksgiving as my sacrifice to glorify your name!
I know that I have sinned and that I fall short of your glory; but by your gift of grace I am justified through redemption that is in Jesus Christ. I receive by faith a propitiation of his blood, and his gift of grace; that my sins may be covered—that you have passed over my former sins! For blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered; and blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 29 Genesis 48-50 ................. Psalms 51-52 .................. Romans 5-6
O Lord God I pray that you will shepherd me all of my life; and that your angel will keep me from all evil. Now help me to be a fruitful bough. Even though the enemy bitterly attacks me and harasses me severely, help me to remain unmoved, strengthened by hands of the Mighty One.
Please forgive my transgressions and my sin, and help me to forgive others as you have forgiven me. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit. Let me be righteous and see and fear; and make God my refuge. May I never trust in the abundance of riches.
I thank you that I have been justified by faith and that I have peace with God through my Lord Jesus Christ. Through him I have obtained access by faith into this grace in which I now stand and I rejoice in hope of the glory of God. Let my sufferings produce endurance, endurance character—character hope—hope does not put me to shame; for God’s love has been poured into my heart through the Holy Spirit who has been given to me. For I have been united with you in a death like yours, and I believe that I shall be united with you in a resurrection like yours. I know that my old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that I would no longer be enslaved to sin. For one who has died has been set free from sin. Keep me in your steadfast love. In Jesus’ name I ask for these petitions. Amen
Prayer January 30 Exodus 1-2 ..................... Psalms 53-55 .................. Romans 7-8
O Lord, I am glad that you hear my groaning, my cries for help. I am glad that you remember your covenant with me and that you know your promises to me.
I know that I am fallen and that there is no good in me; and left to my own devices I will never do good. Now save me by your name, and vindicate me by your might; O God, hear my prayer; give ear to the words of my mouth. For you are my helper; the upholder of my life. I call to God, and the Lord will save me. Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he hears my voice.
I have died to the law through the body of Christ so that I may belong to another, Jesus Christ, my Lord—that I may bear fruit to God. Help me to be fruitful! While I lived under the law, in the flesh, my sinful passions were at work to bear fruit for death; but now I am released from the law, having died to that which held me captive, help me to serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code! In all these things I am more than a conqueror through him who loved me. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from the love of God in Christ Jesus my Lord. Keep me in your steadfast love. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
Prayer January 31 Exodus 3-4 ..................... Psalms 56-57 .................. Romans 9
O Lord, help me to always answer you with “Here I am” when you call me. Help me to obey you and to honor ‘holy ground.’ Now be with my mouth and teach me what you want me to speak. I know it is not eloquence of speech but obedience to you O Lord that I need.
Lord, when I am afraid I will put my trust in you; for I praise your words—in God I trust. I will not be afraid; for what can flesh do to me. I will fear him who can destroy both soul and body. I praise you that I am your child of promise! Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me, for in you my soul takes refuge; in the shadow of your wings I will take refuge, till the storms of destruction pass by.
I cry out to God Most High, to God who fulfills his purpose for me. Help me to be counted as your offspring! I know then that it depends not on human will or exertion, but on God who has mercy on me. I ask that you extend grace to me—your steadfast love and tender mercy. In Jesus’ name I ask for all of this. Amen.
