DECEMBER PRAYERS

Prayer December 1                     Esther 9-10 ..................... Jonah 1 ........................... Hebrews 6-7

O Lord, I know that no one can stand against me when you are for me. You will destroy my enemies if I serve you. May I always remember to celebrate every victory that you give me!

Help me to arise and go where you send me and to not flee from the presence of the Lord. For I know that if I flee you will find me. Help me to not forget that it is your pleasure to help those who are not disobedient.

Let me leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, and of instructions about rituals. Help me to be imitators of those who through faith and patience inherit your promises! Thank you that I have a high priest who is, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He has no need, like other high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself—a Son who never knew sin and who has been made perfect forever. Thank you God for your Son—my high priest.  For it is in his name I believe and pray.  Amen.

Prayer December 2                Job 1-2 ............................ Jonah 2-3 ........................ Hebrews 8-9

O Lord, help me to be a blameless and upright man, who fears God and turns away from all evil. I pray you will put a hedge around me and my children. You have given me children, please do not take them away. Do not allow Satan to cause me to fall. Help me to hold fast to my integrity.

Help me to pray always, to call out to the Lord in my distress, for I know you will answer me. When my life is fainting away, remember me O Lord I pray. May I not forsake the hope of your steadfast love.

For I know that Christ has obtained a ministry that is as much more excellent than the old as the covenant he mediates is better, since it is enacted on better promises. For he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption for me. Thank you for my redemption. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 3                Job 3-4 ............................ Jonah 4 ........................... Hebrews 10

O Lord, now help me to not plow iniquity nor sow trouble; for I know I would reap the same. When those things I fear come upon me, give me rest I pray. O Lord I pray that you will help me when I instruct others and help me to strengthen the hands of those who are weak!

I know that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster. Help me to see your hand in the things that help me and protect me; and help me to see your hand when you are testing me I pray.   

Place your laws on my heart and write them on my mind. May I draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, with my heart sprinkled clean from an evil conscience and my body washed with pure water. Let me hold fast the confession of my hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as we see the Day drawing near. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 4                 Job 5 ............................... Micah 1 ........................... Hebrews 11

O Lord, I pray today for your help; for affliction does not come from the dust, nor does trouble sprout from the ground, but man is born to trouble; but as for me, I will seek God, and to God I will commit my cause, who does great and unsearchable, marvelous things without number.

Help me to hear and to pay attention for I know the Lord is coming out of his place, and will come down and tread upon the high places of the earth. And the mountains will melt under him, and the valleys will split open, like wax before the fire, like waters poured down a steep place. All of this is because of the transgression of his people. Help me to have faith that you will protect me in this day of trouble.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the people of old received their commendation. By faith I understand that the universe was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. I believe that you exist, O God for I see your handiwork and feel your presence. Help me to draw near to you I pray. I honor you—my Creator. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 5                Job 6-7 ............................ Micah 2 ........................... Hebrews 12

O Lord, that I might have my request, and that God would fulfill my hope; for I have not denied the words of the Holy One. My hope is in you, O Lord. I remember that my life is a breath; and that my eye may never again see good; for what is man, that you make so much of him, that you set your heart on him?

Woe to those who devise wickedness and work evil on their beds! For when the morning dawns, the Lord will repay them; but for his people he opens the breach before them; they break through and pass by the gate, going out by it. Their King passes on before them, the Lord at their head. Thank you that you are my Lord!

By faith I believe that you will save me through all that is to come; for I am surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses, let me also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let me run with endurance the race that is set before me, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of my faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. There Jesus my Lord makes intercession for me. Grant that I have favor with thee O Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 6                Job 8 ............................... Micah 3-4 ....................... Hebrews 13

O Lord, if I seek God and plead with the Almighty for mercy, if I am pure and upright, surely then you will rouse yourself for me and restore my rightful habitation. Let not my paths be as one who forgets God; but let my hope not perish, nor my confidence be severed, and let my trust be totally in you, O Lord. Help me to be blameless so that you do not reject me.

I believe that it shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and it shall be lifted up above the hills; and peoples shall flow to it. Many nations will say, “come let us go up to the mountain of the Lord.” I look forward to that day to worship you.

Now let brotherly love continue. May I not neglect to show hospitality to strangers. Help me to remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them, and those who are mistreated. Help me keep my life free from love of money, and to be content with what I have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” “The Lord is my helper, I will not fear; what can man do to me?” My trust is in you O Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 7                Job 9 ............................... Micah 5 ........................... James 1

O Lord, truly I know that it is so, you are sovereign; so how can a man be in the right before God? If I wished to contend with you, I could not answer you once in a thousand times. For you are wise in heart and mighty in strength, your ways are above my ways! Do not let me hardened myself against you, O Lord; but rather let me seek after you!

You have given me a good shepherd, O God. And he shall stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord. In the majesty of the name of the Lord his God, your sheep shall dwell secure, for now he shall be great to the ends of the earth. Thank you Lord Jesus that you are the good shepherd.

Now I count it all joy when I meet trials of various kinds, for I know that the testing of my faith produces steadfastness. And by letting steadfastness have its full effect, I may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.  For wisdom, I ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach. I believe it will be given me. Help me Lord to ask in faith, with no doubting; for a doubting person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the you. Again, I ask that you give me wisdom O Lord. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 8                Job 10 ............................. Micah 6 ........................... James 2

Do not condemn me O Lord; for your hands fashioned and made me. You clothed me with skin and flesh and knit me together with bones and sinews. You have granted me life and steadfast love and your care has preserved my spirit. Now keep me in your care I pray.

With what shall I come before you Lord and bow myself before God on high? The praise on my lips and the bending of my knees are all I have to offer you, O Lord. I pray that you accept my sacrifice of praise. Now help me to do what is good, to do justice, to love kindness and to walk humbly with you Lord.

Lord help me that I do not show partiality. Let me love my neighbor as myself. I ask that you increase my faith and that my faith be active along with my works, and that my faith be completed by my works. My desire is to be counted righteousness—and to be called a friend of God. These things I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer December 9                Job 11 ............................. Micah 7 ........................... James 3-4

O Lord, oh, that God would speak and open his lips to me, and that he would tell me the secrets of wisdom! For he is manifold in understanding. I know then that God exacts of me less than my guilt deserves. Forgive me of every sin as I forgive those that sin against me.

As for me, I will look to the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation; my God will hear me. Rejoice not over me, O my enemy; when I fall, I shall rise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me. I will bear the indignation of the Lord because I have sinned against him, until he pleads my cause and executes judgment for me. He will bring me out to the light; I shall look upon his vindication.

I know I stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a perfect man, able also to bridle his whole body. So also the tongue is a small member, yet it boasts of great things. Help me to bridle my tongue, O Lord. Help me submit myself to you O God, to resist the devil. I know that if I draw near to God, he will draw near to me. Cleanse my hands, I pray, and purify my heart. I humble myself before you Lord. Exalt me at your pleasure. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 10                Job 12 ............................. Nahum 1-2 ...................... James 5

O Lord, in your hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind. With you O God are wisdom and might; you have counsel and understanding. I pray for your counsel today.

The Lord is a jealous and avenging God; and slow to anger and great in power, and you will by no means clear the guilty. You are good, O Lord, a stronghold in the day of trouble. You know those who take refuge in you. You have broken the yoke from me and burst my bonds apart. Thank you Lord for liberty and refuge.

I repent O Lord of my sins, in your mercy forgive me I pray. Help me to be patient Lord until you come. I see how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. Now establish my heart, for your coming is at hand. Keep me for that day I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer December 11                Job 13 ............................. Nahum 3 ......................... 1 Peter 1

Lord, may it be well with me when you search me out. Let me not show partiality. I am terrified at your majesty and your wrath. Though you slay me, yet my hope is in you, Lord. May I live in such a way that I know only your mercy and steadfast love.

I pray that you will not have contempt for me or make a spectacle of me. Awaken the shepherd so that your scattered sheep have one to gather them. Keep me in your fold, I pray.

  According to your great mercy, you have caused me to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for me, who by God's power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. I rejoice in this knowledge and I thank you O God. I seek your salvation. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 12                Job 14 ............................. Habakkuk 1 .................... 1 Peter 2

O Lord, man who is born of a woman is few of days and full of trouble. He comes out like a flower and then he withers; he flees like a shadow and continues not. You have determined the number of my days. When I die I know that I will live again! You will call me and I will answer!

I know that I am mortal; but O Lord, I cry for your help, will you not hear me? Save me I pray. Destruction and violence are before me; strife and contention arise. Help me to see my iniquity that I may repent. And may my eyes be opened to the work you are doing in my days. Show me thy ways, O Lord.  

I long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it I may grow up into salvation—for indeed I have tasted that the Lord is good. Thank you Lord that I who was not your people that I am now your child and have received you abundant mercy. Now help me to abstain from the passions of the flesh which wage war against my soul. Help me to keep my conduct among others honorable. For your sake I am subject to every human institution. I honor all. I love the brotherhood. I fear you, O Lord. Once I was straying like sheep but now I have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of my soul. These things I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer December 13                Job 15 ............................. Habakkuk 2 .................... 1 Peter 3-5

O Lord, let me not do away with the fear of God; nor hinder meditation before God. Let not iniquity teach my mouth, and may I not choose the tongue of the crafty.

Let not my soul be puffed up; but let it to be upright within me; for the righteous shall live by our faith. Now let the earth be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord. Help me that I never worship speechless idols or tell a silent stone to arise. Gold and silver does not give breath to man’s creation. Let me be silent before you and let my trust in you be complete.

Let us have unity of mind, sympathy, brotherly love, a tender heart, and a humble mind. I thank you Lord that your eyes are on the righteous and your ears are open to their prayers. Now help me to always be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks me for a reason for the hope that is in me. Let me be clothed with humility. Help me to stand firm in the faith. I cast all of my anxieties on you, O Lord. It is in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 14                 Job 16-17 ........................ Habakkuk 3 .................... 2 Peter 1-2

O Lord, my witness is in heaven, and he who testifies for me is on high. You have determined that after a few years of life that I shall go the way from which I shall not return. Though my spirit be broken; my days extinct; yet my hope is in you O Lord. Thank you that if the righteous holds to his way and  he has clean hands, he will grow stronger and stronger. My strength comes from you Lord.

I have heard the report of you, and your work, O Lord, and I do fear you. I pray that in your wrath you will remember mercy. Though the fruit of trees fail, and the fields yield no food, and the flock is cut off from the fold and there is no herd in the stall, yet I will rejoice in the Lord; I will take joy in the God of my salvation.

Thank you that your divine power has granted to me all the things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called me to his own glory and excellence. Lord I pray that you will help me to supplement my faith with virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and with love. And if I fall in a trial, I pray that you will rescue me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 15                Job 18-19 ........................ Zephaniah 1 .................... 2 Peter 3

O Lord, let me not dwell in dwellings of the unrighteous, in a place of those who know not God. Though the memory of me perishes from the earth, yet my Lord remembers me! For I know that my Redeemer lives, and at the last he will stand upon the earth. And after my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God, whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another.      

In awe of you, let me be silent before you Lord God! For the day of the Lord is near. It will be a day of wrath, distress and anguish, a day of ruin and devastation, and a day of darkness and gloom. Lord, keep me from that day, I pray. May I be present with you when, in the fire of your jealousy, you make a full end to the earth.

Lord I know the earth that now exists is stored up for fire, awaiting the day of judgment and destruction. Let me live a life of holiness and godliness, waiting for the coming of the day of God. According to your promise I am waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. May my dwelling place be with you for eternity. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 16                Job 20 ............................. Zephaniah 2 .................... 1 John 1-2

O Lord, I know that the exulting of the wicked is short, and the joy of the godless but for a moment. Lord I pray that I do not inherit the punishments of those who are evil. Keep me in you I pray.

I seek you Lord, and I humbly try to do your just commands; I seek righteousness; I seek humility; so that perhaps I may be hidden on the day of the anger of the Lord.

By faith I know that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. Help me to walk in the light, as he is in the light, that I might have fellowship with him and with others. I pray that you will cleanse me from all sin by the blood of Jesus Christ, your Son. If I say I have no sin, I deceive myself, and the truth is not in me. If I confess my sins, you are faithful and just to forgive me my sins and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness. Thank you Jesus that you are my advocate with the Father and the propitiation for my sins. Forgive me my sins I pray. Your word says, whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and in him there is no cause for stumbling. Help me to love my brother as myself. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 17                Job 21 ............................. Zephaniah 3 .................... 1 John 3-4

O Lord, let me not question why the wicked live, reach old age, and grow mighty in power; but rather let me trust you for steadfast love and abundant mercy.

For I know the Lord is righteous; he does no injustice; every morning he shows forth his justice; each dawn he does not fail. Lord, I eagerly await your returning. Keep me safe on that day when gather nations and assemble kingdoms to pour out your indignation, your burning angry, and the fire of your jealousy upon them, a day when all the earth is consumed.

I know that no one born of God makes a practice of sinning, for God's seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning. Abide in me and keep me from sinning, I pray. Help me to test the spirits to see whether they are from God. Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. Let me always be able to discern the Spirit. Thank you that he who is in me is greater than he who is in the world. Help me to keep the commandment that we have from you: whoever loves God must also love his brother. Help me to love my brother! These petitions I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer December 18                Job 22 ............................. Haggai 1 ......................... 1 John 5

Is it any pleasure to the Almighty if you are in the right, or is it gain to him if you make your ways blameless. Thank you that I agree with God and I am at peace with him. Now help me to receive instruction from your mouth and to lay up your words in my heart. I make this prayer to you today for you hear me!

Help me to consider my ways; for in my flesh I have sown much, and harvested little. Without your blessing and favor Lord, I cannot be satisfied, my trust in you for my daily bread and my substance. And I will be anxious for nothing.

I believe that Jesus is the Christ and has been born of God. Keep me in the love of God and help me to keep all of his commandments. I can overcome the world through my faith and my belief that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe in the name of Jesus. Thank you for eternal life. Thank you that when I ask anything according to your will, you hear me. Now I ask that you keep me from idols. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 19                Job 23-24 ........................ Zechariah 1 ..................... 2 John -3 JO

O Lord I know that when I seek you, I will find you! I know you will answer me when I pray. Thank you that you are mindful of me and that you hear me. Now, O Lord, help my feet to hold fast to your steps and help me to keep your ways. I will not depart from the commandments of your lips and I will always treasure the words from your mouth. Thank you for the word of God.

Thank you that you give me security and your eyes are upon my ways. Thank you that when I return to you that you returned to me. Help me that I do not stray from you.

Lord help me to walk in the truth, as the Father has commanded; for it is love, that I walk according to his commandments. Help me to love and support people that teach and preach the gospel, that I may be fellow workers for the truth. Keep me in your love. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 20                Job 25-27 ........................ Zechariah 2-3 ................. Jude 1

Dominion and fear are with you O God; for you make peace in your high heaven. O Lord I know that what I see are but the outskirts of your ways, and how small a whisper do I hear of you! The thunder of your power no one can understand. You are great and mighty O Lord. I pray that you will help me as long as my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils, that my lips will not speak falsehood, and my tongue will not utter deceit. Help me to hold fast to righteousness and to not let it go!

O Lord I pray that you will be a wall of fire around me and let your glory be in the midst of me. Now I pray that you will remove the filthy rags of my iniquities from me and clothe me with pure garments.

Help me to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints. I believe that you are coming soon with ten thousands of your holy ones to execute judgment on all of the ungodly. Help me to be ready to meet you in peace. O Lord, help me to build myself up in my most holy faith and teach me to pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep me in the love of God as I await the abundant mercy of my Lord Jesus Christ—that leads to eternal life. Now to him who is able to keep me from stumbling and to present me blameless before the presence of his glory, to the only God, my Savior, through Jesus Christ my Lord be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority now and forever. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 21                Job 28 ............................. Zechariah 4-5 ................. Revelation 1-2

O Lord, I seek wisdom and want to know where is the place of understanding; but God understands the way to it and he knows its place. I know that it cannot be bought with gold or silver; and that the price of wisdom is above pearls! You, O Lord, have said to man that the fear of the Lord is wisdom and to turn away from evil is understanding. May I always fear you Lord and always turn away from evil.

O Lord, I believe it is not by might or power that things exist or cease to exist; but by your Spirit and spoken word that things come to be or come to exit their existence. It is by your grace that I exist.

Thank you for all who bear witness to the word of God and to the testimony of Jesus Christ. I am blessed when I read aloud the words of your prophecy, and blessed when I hear your Word. Now help me keep what is written in your word, for the time is near. You know my works. Now help me to endure patiently and bear up for your name's sake. May I not grow weary nor abandon the love I had at first. Help me to repent, and do the works I did at the first. For I know the time is near. Now keep me in your grace and favor. These things I ask in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer December 22                Job 29-30 ........................ Zechariah 6-7 ................. Revelation 3-4

O Lord, may you watch over me, and may your lamp shine upon my head, for by your light I walk through darkness. I pray for the friendship of God upon my house. I need your peace O Lord.

I pray that I will diligently obey the voice of the Lord my God. And that I will show kindness and mercy to others. Lord, may I not be guilty of devising evil against anyone in my heart.

Lord, you know my works. Let me wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, that my works may be complete in your sight. Help me to remember, what I have received and heard, to keep it, and repent when I do wrong. I give glory and honor and thanks to him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, You are worthy my Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created. Keep me in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 23                Job 31-32 ........................ Zechariah 8 ..................... Revelation 5-6

O Lord, you see my ways and number all my steps. If I have walked with falsehood and my foot has hastened to deceit let me be weighed in a just balance, and let God know my integrity! My spirit within me is the breath of the Almighty that makes understand. When I am full of word, let the spirt within me constrain me. Let me speak when you say speak, O Lord.

Do not leave us O Lord but dwell in our midst. I pray for a sowing of peace in our land. Help me that I fear not and let my hands be strong. Let those in authority render judgments that are true and make for peace. Keep me so that I do not devise evil in my heart against anyone.

I worship you, O Lamb of God, for worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. The time of the end is near to us. Keep me, I pray, in your rest until your appearing and the time of your wrath.  These things I pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Prayer December 24                Job 33 ............................. Zechariah 9 ..................... Revelation 7-9

O Lord, the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life. I was pinched off from a piece of clay. I believe that God speaks in more than one way, though often I may not perceive it. In a dream or in a vision God opens the ears of man. Thank you God for speaking to men!

Thank you that you have an eye on mankind. And that you keep us. Now keep me for the day when you will speak peace to the nations; and your rule shall be from sea to sea and from the River to the end of the earth. Thank you for that hope!

May I be in that great multitude that no one can number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen. May the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of your saints, rise before you from the hand of your angel forever. I ask these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer December 25                Job 34 ............................. Zechariah 10 ................... Revelation 10-11

O Lord, help me to give ear to you; for the ear tests words as the palate tastes food. Let me choose what is right; let me choose what is good. For your eyes are on the ways of a man and you see all of my steps. I pray that my works please you and that you will repay me accordingly.

Household gods utter nonsense, and the diviners see lies; they tell false dreams and give empty consolation. O Lord, keep me from idolatry and false prophets. Help me to stay in truth, your word.

I believe the time that the angel, who will stand on the sea and on the land and raises his right hand to heaven and swears by him who lives forever and ever that there would be no more delay, is about to make his proclamation. Thank you that then the mystery of God will be fulfilled!  I give thanks to you, Lord God Almighty, who is and who was, for then you will take your great power and begin to reign. The nations raged, but your wrath came, and the time for the dead to be judged, and for rewarding your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear your name, both small and great, and for destroying the destroyers of the earth—I look for this day. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 26                Job 35-36 ........................ Zechariah 11 ................... Revelation 12-13

O Lord, I know that even if I am righteous, that I can give you nothing but my heart. I have nothing in my hand to give you. May I always listen to those who have something to say on God's behalf. For I will get my knowledge from your word and I will ascribe righteousness to my Maker only. I know that the one who is perfect in knowledge is with me—that God is mighty, and does not despise any; he is mighty in strength of understanding.  Today I seek understanding from you, O Lord. I know that you do not hear my empty cries; but I know the you do not withdraw your eyes from me if I am righteous. Please hear my cry for your abundant mercy and your steadfast love.

Lord, I pray that you do not break your staff of Favor, nor annul your covenant of grace. Rather, help me to find favor with you and brotherhood with all of your people. Let me seek help for those who are being destroyed, healing for those that are maimed, guidance for the young and nourishment for the healthy.

Thank you God that Satan did not destroy the Son of God who is to rule all nations. I know that salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ will come, for the accuser of our brothers will be thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And I know that the saints will conquer the devil by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. All of heaven will rejoice when that day comes. Keep me I pray from the day of trouble that is coming on the earth when the devil is throw down to earth; and keep me from the kingdom of the beast and his false prophet. In Jesus’ name I ask you to prepare and keep me from that day. Amen.

Prayer December 27                Job 37 ............................. Zechariah 12 ................... Revelation 14

O Lord, your voice thunders wondrously; and you do great things that I cannot comprehend. I do not understand your wondrous works for I am not perfect in knowledge. Although you are clothed with awesome majesty and great in power, you will not violate justice and abundant righteousness. Keep me, I pray, in your righteousness so that I may receive your steadfast love and abundant mercy—your grace!

Lord, I know that you stretched out the heavens and founded the earth and formed the spirit of man within him. For my sake, please keep your eyes open to my plight and yours ears attentive to my prayer. Keep me, I pray from the day of judgment—the day that those who rejected you see the one whom they have pierced!

Help me to be in that number that hears the 144,000 sing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders. May I also sing a song of redemption in your presence! I fear you, O Lord. I worship you and give you glory; for you alone are worthy. May I be in the harvest of the earth and not suffer the winepress of the wrath of God. Keep me from that day and keep me in your grace for it is in Jesus’ name that I pray. Amen.

Prayer December 28                Job 38 ............................. Zechariah 13 ................... Revelation 15-16

O Lord, I am without understanding for I was not there when you laid the foundation of the earth, when you laid its cornerstone, neither have I comprehended the expanse of the earth! Nor have I seen the storehouses of snow and hail that you have reserved for the time of trouble. I can do none of those things you questioned Job about; but I do know my creator and I pray that he knows me.

I look for the day when you cut off the names of the idols from the land, so that they shall be remembered no more—when you remove from the land the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness. Refine me as one refines silver and test me as gold is tested. I call on your name for I know that you will answer me; for The Lord is my God!

Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations! Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. All nations will come and worship you, for your righteous acts have been revealed. Just are you, O Holy One, who is and who was, for you brought those judgments. For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and you have given them blood to drink. It is what they deserve! Now keep me, I pray, from the wrath that will be poured out in that day. Keep me from that awful time in Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.

Prayer December 29                Job 39 ............................. Malachi 1 ........................ Revelation 17-18

O Lord, it is not by my strength or knowledge or power that your creations function; but it is by your strength and knowledge and power that it was created and exists. You are my creator. And you never leave me nor forget me; but rather you care for me with wisdom and understanding.

You have said, “I have loved you.” I believe your Word. I cannot build in vain, lest you tear it down. I honor you today for you are my Lord and my heavenly Father. May I never despise your holy name. I entreat you that you may grant me favor, be gracious to keep me in you.   

Help me now to come out of the world lest I take part in her sins, and lest I share in her plagues; for her sins are heaped high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities. I pray in Jesus’ name that you forgive all of my sins and remember my iniquities no more. Amen.

Prayer December 30                Job 40 ............................. Malachi 2 ........................ Revelation 19-20

O Lord, let me not be a faultfinder nor ever try to contend with the Almighty; for I am of small account and I have no answer for you. You are Sovereign, Almighty, Wise and Infinite. Thank you that you are loving and merciful to me.

Now Lord help me to listen, to take your word to heart, to give honor to your name so that you do not withhold your blessings from me. I pray that I will seek instruction from the one whose lips guards knowledge. May I never turn aside from truth! Help me to remain faithful to you, O Lord.

Keep me clean and pure in your sight for that day when you return with the armies of heaven to destroy all evil. Salvation and glory and power belong to our God; for his judgments are true and just. Keep me in your care and reserve me for your rule on this earth and until the day that I live with you forever. In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.

Prayer December 31                Job 41-42 ........................ Malachi 3-4 .................... Revelation 21-22

O Lord, there is no one who can stand before you. I can give you nothing that did not first give me. I know that you can do all things and that no purpose of yours can be opposed.

You have said “behold, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble. But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. Lord, help me to among those who fear your name. May I be numbered with the righteous, O Lord.

Keep me, I pray, for the new heaven and the new earth—that time when the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. For you have made all things new. You are the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty you will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son. Your words are trustworthy and true. You are coming soon. Help me to keep the words of the prophecy of this book. For it is in Jesus’ name that I pray.  Amen.
