DAILY PRAYERS for OCTOBER

OCTOBER PRAYERS

These Prayers are Synced with The Bible Companion - A System of Daily Bible Readings by Robert Roberts—for context those scriptures should be read first before reading these prayers!

Prayer October 1             1 Chronicles 15 .............. Ezekiel 27 ....................... Luke 24

O Lord, I will shout with joy and make loud music in my heart in my worship of you. Concentrate me so that I can know your will for me. I know that you will help me, O Lord. My heart will dances with celebration before you!

Let me not say within myself, I am good. Nothing I can do will ever make me good; but rather let me be clothed with the Holy Spirit. And let me be made perfect on that day when you transform this mortal man to be like you at your appearing!

I am so thankful that when those that went to your tomb on the first day of the week found an empty tomb. I am glad that the angel said, he is not here, but has risen. May I never seek the living among the dead! Now open my mind to understand the Scriptures—just as you did for your disciples. Grant me to be a witness for you, a witness to your great power and glory. I pray for these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Prayer October 2           1 Chronicles 16 .............. Ezekiel 28 ....................... Galatians 1-2

Just as King David place the ark in a tent—a temporary dwelling place, you have placed your Spirit in this tent of clay. I long for the day when you call me to your eternal place for me! O Lord I give thanks to you; I will call upon your name; and make known your deeds among the people. I will sing to you, sing your praises; and tell of all your wondrous works! For you alone are worthy!

Lord, in your word spoken through the prophet Ezekiel you describe the perfection with which you created the King of Tyre—Satan. You said he was the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. And that he was blameless in his ways from the day he was created until unrighteousness was found in him. Today he still tries to deceive man with perceived traits he no longer has. Help me to never be deceived by him!

Thank you that Jesus Christ died for me so that I may have truth. Set me apart and help me to fulfill your purpose for me. Now live in me, Jesus I pray. Give me faith to finish my course. Thank you for loving me and giving your Son for me.  In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.

Prayer October 3           1 Chronicles 17 .............. Ezekiel 29 ....................... Galatians 3-4

O Lord, I pray that I may do the work for you that is in my heart to do and that you will be with me. You are my Father, and I am your son. Do not take your steadfast love and abundant mercy from me.

O Lord, there is none like you, and there is no God beside you, according to all that I have heard with my ears. You are an awesome God. I pray that you are never against me. Withhold the wrath that I deserve from me. You, O Lord, reward those that live for you with eternal life. Thank you for that hope. Now open your word to your people; for I know that you are the Lord.

Thank you that I am in Christ Jesus and a son of God, through faith. For I have been baptized into Christ and have put on Christ. I have been redeemed so that I might receive adoption as a son. And because I am a son, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into my heart, crying, "Abba! Father!"  I am no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through Christ Jesus. Thank you O Lord for redemption and adoption. In the name of Jesus, I again thank you. Amen.

Prayer October 4           1 Chronicles 18-19 ......... Ezekiel 30 ....................... Galatians 5-6

O Lord, I pray that you will give me victory wherever I go. Grant me strength to be just and equitable with all people. When a brother needs help, help me to supply it; and when I need help, may a brother help me. Lord, I ask that you do to me what seems good to you!

O Lord, I know the day is near, the day of the Lord; and that it will be a day of clouds, a time of doom for the nations. Save me from that day, I pray. Save me from your wrath! Grant to me eternal life!

For freedom you have set me free. With your help I will stand and not submit again to a yoke of slavery. Through the Spirit, by faith, I, myself eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness; for the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. Give me strength so that I do not grow weary of doing good, for in due season I know I will reap, if I do not give up. Let me do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. These things I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer October 5           1 Chronicles 20-21 ......... Ezekiel 31 ....................... Ephesians 1-2

O Lord, help me to slay the giants of evil that try to beset me! Do not be displeased with me. All have sinned greatly in the things they have done when walking in the flesh; but now, please take away the iniquity of your servant, for I have acted very foolishly. Do not let others suffer for my sins. But let me fall into the hand of the Lord, for his mercy is very great. Do not let me fall into the hands of men.

Help me that my heart is not proud of my station in life nor of the possessions that you have given me.  Please do not deal with me as my slackness deserves. Do not cast me out. I will not cease to give thanks to you for your steadfast love and your abundant mercy.

Now I ask that the Father of glory, give me the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of my heart enlightened, that I may know what is the hope to which he has called me, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward those who believe, according to the working of his great might that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. I know he put all things under Jesus Christ’s feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all. Now grant that I fulfill the purpose that you have for me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer October 6           1 Chronicles 22 .............. Ezekiel 32 ....................... Ephesians 3-4

O Lord, may you grant me discretion and understanding, that I may keep the law of the Lord my God. That I will prosper and be careful to observe the statutes and the rules of my Lord; and that I will be strong and courageous. That I will fear not; nor be dismayed.

Lord, let me be at rest with you awaiting your appearing with the clouds when you cover the heavens and make the stars dark and the moon does not give its light and you trouble the hearts of many people.

While I am here on earth help me to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which I have been called,  with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. I know that there is one body and one Spirit—just as I was called to the one hope that belongs to my call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Thank you that grace was given to me according to the measure of Christ's gift.  Thank you for Christ’s gift.  In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.

Prayer October 7           1 Chronicles 23 .............. Ezekiel 33 ....................... Ephesians 5-6

O Lord, let me never forget to stand before you every morning, thanking and praising you, and likewise at evening. Whatever office or whatever service you have for me to do, help me to fulfill the purpose you have for me, O God.

You are a just God for you say in your Word, “When the righteous turns from his righteousness and does injustice, he shall die for it. And when the wicked turns from his wickedness and does what is just and right, he shall live by this.” Grant me Lord that I never again turn to wickedness.

Now help me to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might; to put on the whole armor of God, that I may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For I do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Let me take up the whole armor of God, that I may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. And I ask that I not be foolish, but understand what is the will of the Lord. These things I pray and ask for in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Prayer October 8           1 Chronicles 24-25 ......... Ezekiel 34 ....................... Philippians 1-2

O Lord, I pray that you will clothe me with the Spirit of God so that I can help build up the temple of the Lord. May I never break your commandments nor forsake you; but may I always please you. Thank you for making me prosper in you!

O Lord, grant me strength to help strengthened the weak, heal the sick, bind up the wounded, bring those who have strayed back to you. Grant me a zeal to seek for those that are lost. Rescue those that have been scattered, O Lord. You are my shepherd and I am a sheep of your pasture.

Let my manner of life be worthy of gospel of Christ. I pray that I will do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than myself. Let me look not only look out for my own interests, but also for the interests of others. Thank you that the name of Jesus is above every name. I confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. I pray for these things in Jesus name.  Amen.

Prayer October 9           1 Chronicles 26 .............. Ezekiel 35 ....................... Philippians 3-4

O Lord, I remember that all I have belongs to you. May I never keep the  dedicated gifts. Grant to me that I remember that you are everywhere—and to never claim anything as my own.

Lord help my resolve to never have enmity against anyone. Lord forbid that I cherish perpetual enmity and give over your people to their enemies. Rather, let me be a friend of your children everywhere.

I know that you are the Lord. I want to imitate you, O Lord. Keep my eyes on those who walk according to the example you have given me. Let me never walk as an enemy of the cross of Christ. But rather, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, let me remember to think about these things. What I have learned and received and heard and seen in Christ—with all that is within me, I will practice these things. Now let the God of peace will be with me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer October 10           1 Chronicles 27 .............. Ezekiel 36 ....................... John 1

Lord, the monthly requirements of food for the kingdom of King Solomon were momental. Yet you never ceased to give him his daily bread—just as you do for me today.

Grant that I never suffer reproach for doing harm to your people and to Jerusalem; but rather let me bless them as you have blessed me. Thank you that you have kept your promises to your people and have returned them to their land. Although their enemies are still many, you have kept a hedge around them.

I am so thankful that in the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God and that He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Thank you for that light of the Word that is in my heart. I pray and ask these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Prayer October 11            1 Chronicles 28 .............. Ezekiel 37 ....................... John 2-3

O Lord God, I am glad that I know the God of my father; help me to serve God with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches all hearts and understands every plan and every thought. If I seek him, he will be found by me, but if I forsake him, he will cast me off forever. Thank you, O Lord that you have not cast me off.

When my bones are dried up, my hope is not lost; I am indeed cut off; but you O Lord will open my grave and raise me from my grave, and return your Spirit to my body, then glorify me and I shall live. Thank you for that hope that you will resurrect me on the day of your appearance with the clouds.

Thank you, O Lord that you made a way for man to be born again so that he can see the Kingdom of God. Thank you that I have been born of the Spirit. I know that God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Thank you for the hope of eternal life. You did not send your Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Now forgive me of all of my sins as I forgive others that I may be saved. In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.

Prayer October 12            1 Chronicles 29 .............. Ezekiel 38 ....................... John 4

“Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.” O Lord, I know that you test the heart and have pleasure in uprightness. Help me to always be upright before you, Lord.

Lord, help me to be ready and keep ready for all the things that I might do in your service. I know that in the end-time you will bring your judgments with pestilence and bloodshed on the world. It is happening today. Thank you that you will show your greatness and your holiness and make yourself known in the eyes of all nations. Then men will know that you are the Lord God.

Let me know the gift of God, and who it is that gives living water. I ask you today to give me this living water. For all who drink of the water of the wells of this world will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that you give him will never be thirsty again. The water that you gave me has become in me a spring of living water welling up to eternal life.  Now thank you for this living water.  In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.

Prayer October 13           2 Chronicles 1-2 ............. Ezekiel 39 ....................... John 5

O Lord, Blessed be the Lord God of Israel, who made heaven and earth. You told King Solomon, “Ask what I shall give you.” You tell me today to ask and it will be given me. So I ask that you give me wisdom and knowledge that I may understand the mysteries of God that I may share your word with others.

Make your holy name known in the midst of your people, O Lord. And set your glory among the nations, so that all can see your coming judgments when they are executed. Then let the house of Israel know that you are the Lord their God from that day forward. Hide not your face from them but pour out your Spirit upon your people.

We know the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. Now help me to hear your word and believe with all  of my heart so that I may have eternal life. Grant me to not come into judgment, but to pass from death to life. These things I ask in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Prayer October 14            2 Chronicles 3-4 ............. Ezekiel 40 ....................... John 6

O Lord, grant to me understanding of the meanings and lessons to be learned from the Temple that Solomon built for you. The lofty cathedrals that man has constructed since then do not equal the Temple that you filled with the ‘cloud’ of your Spirit. When man builds a monument to his religion and to himself, you do not honor it with your presence. May this temple of your Holy Spirit, my heart, be filled with your Spirit every day.

Now grant me to look with my eyes, and hear with my ears, and set my heart upon all that you shall show me. Then let me declare your word to all that I see. May the temple of the Lord be built in the heart of every man.

O Lord, you tested the apostle Philip about bread to feed a multitude of people. You, the bread of life, provided natural bread that day for the multitude. I know that you are the bread of life; whoever comes to you shall not hunger, and whoever believes in you shall never thirst. Now help me to believe with all of my heart, mind, soul, and strength. And let me be consumed with love for you. These things I ask in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Prayer October 15            2 Chronicles 5-6 ............. Ezekiel 41 ....................... John 7

O Lord God, there is no God like you, in heaven or on earth, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to your servants who walk before you with all their heart. Solomon said, “But will God indeed dwell with man on the earth? Behold, heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you, how much less this house that I have built!” But I know that you live in the hearts of men!

Ezekiel measured a temple that God showed him. Many believe that you will allow Israel to again construct a temple before you reveal yourself to them in the end-time. Lord, I pray that you will dwell in their hearts as you dwell in the hearts of Christians today. Now help all to make themselves heard in unison in praise and thanksgiving to you. For you are good, for your steadfast love endures forever.

Grant me that my will is submitted to do God's will, and to know whether the teachings I hear from others is from God. I believe that the one who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true; For Jesus always sought to give glory to the one that sent him. Again, I ask that you help me to do your will and to seek you—to seek truth.  These things I ask in Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Prayer October 16           2 Chronicles 7 ................ Ezekiel 42 ....................... John 8

When the people of Israel saw the fire of God come down from heaven and the glory of the Lord fill the Lord’s house, they bowed down with their faces to the ground and worshipped you and gave thanks. I pray that once again you will allow the many to see your Holy Spirit and fire! For you are good and your steadfast love endures forever!

Help me today, I pray, to understand the mysteries of God that are embedded in the construction of the temple—that I may learn lessons that will give me an understanding that leads to a saving knowledge of God. Thank you that you do reveal hidden truths to those that seek them.

O Lord, you are the light of the world and whoever follows you will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. Grant to me to reflect that light. Cleanse me, as a lighthouse keeper cleans the reflecting lens of light of a lighthouse, that I may shine brightly for those that are lost and for those that are near to being shipwrecked on the rocks of sin. Keep me that I abide in your word and that I am your disciple, that I will know the truth and be set free. These things I pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Prayer October 17           2 Chronicles 8 ................ Ezekiel 43 ....................... John 9-10

O Lord, may I offer my daily offerings to you as Solomon did. Help me to remove anything that offends from the holy place of my heart. Grant that I never turn aside from what the king of Kings commands me to do concerning any matter.

Grant to me to see your glory and may your glory fill me—your temple. I pray that you will dwell in the midst of your people forever.

I will work while it is day. I will enter into the sheepfold by you for you are the door. May I always know your voice so that I will not follow another. Thank you that you came that I might have life and have it more abundantly. And thank you that you lay down your life for me and that you took it up again. I pray these things in the name of Jesus.  Amen.

Prayer October 18           2 Chronicles 9 ................ Ezekiel 44 ....................... John 11

O Lord, King Solomon asked for wisdom and you gave him wisdom. Wisdom to rule your people, to execute justice and righteousness. The kings of the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom that you had put into his mind. Give me wisdom to understand your word, O Lord.

Grant to me to see with my eyes and hear with my ears all that you tell me, Lord, concerning your statutes. Write them in my heart I pray that I sin not against you, O Lord. Now I ask that you circumcise this heart of flesh so that I might enter into your Holy sanctuary.

Lord, I know that you are the resurrection and the life. And that whoever believes in you, though he die, yet shall he live. I believe in you, Lord. Thank you for the hope that I have for eternal life.  Keep me for that day.  In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.

Prayer October 19            2 Chronicles 10-11 ......... Ezekiel 45 ....................... John 12

O Lord, I will seek council from those that are wise in the ways of the Lord and I will try to follow their counsel. Help me to never fight with my relatives but rather to help them—to be a light and service to them.

I pray for the day that violence and oppression are put away from this world and the righteous King rules and executes justice and righteousness in all the land. I long for your righteous rule, O Lord.

May I be as a grain of wheat that falls into the earth and dies, and then bears much fruit. Keep me from loving this life so that I lose it; but rather teach me to hate my life in this world that I may keep it for eternity. Let me serve you, and follow you; and that where you are, there I can be also. Grant to me to know you, so that the Father may honor me. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer October 20           2 Chronicles 12-13 ......... Ezekiel 46 ....................... John 13-14

O Lord, may I humble myself and declare that the Lord is righteous. For the Lord is my God, and you have not forsaken me. God is with me. He is my head. Grant that I never fight against the Lord God—that I be granted deliverance and not wrath.

The many rules and statutes of the Law were a rigorous taskmaster. Thank you for the gift of grace that we can accept through a measure of faith. Thank you that your yoke is easy and your burden is light!

Grant me to always obey the new commandment you gave me, that I love others just as you have loved me; so that by this all people will know that I am your disciple. Now help me to be ready when you come again and take me to yourself, that where you are I may be also. For you are the way, and the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through you. Thank you for being the way and the truth and the life. These things I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer October 21           2 Chronicles 14-15 ......... Ezekiel 47 ....................... John 15-16

O Lord, may I always do what is good and right in the eyes of the Lord my God—and to seek him and to keep his laws and commandments. I know that when I seek you, I will have peace. You are with me when I am with you. When I seek you, I will find you. And you will not forsake me if I do not forsake you.

Ezekiel saw a river issuing from the temple with trees on both banks bearing fresh fruit every month and their leaves were for healing. I pray for the day when I am in the New Jerusalem with the water of the river of life and its trees of life. Thank you Lord for that hope.

Thank you Lord that I abide in you and you in me. Grant that I bear fruit for the Kingdom of God. Now let me love others as you have loved me. May you always call me friend. Thank you for choosing me and for going away to send me the Helper—Your Holy Spirit. Now keep me in the Spirit and in your will. In Jesus’ name I ask these things. Amen.

Prayer October 22           2 Chronicles 16-17 ......... Ezekiel 48 ....................... John 17-18

O Lord, I thank you that the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him. Help me to be blameless before you today, to seek the Lord God with all of my heart and to walk in all his ways.

Lord, Ezekiel wrote about a city with twelve gates with gates that were named after the tribes of Israel. And the name of the city from that time on shall be, the “Lord Is There!” I pray that my eternal home is in that city with my Lord and Savior.

I pray that you will give me eternal life and that I may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. Now sanctify me in the truth; your word is truth. Thank you that your kingdom is not of this world! Thank you that you came to bear witness of the truth. May I never deny you, O Lord! Now reserve me for the day of your returning. I ask all of this is Jesus’ name.  Amen.

Prayer October 23           2 Chronicles 18-19 ......... Daniel 1 .......................... John 19

O Lord, help me to remember to inquire of the Lord before I do anything. May I always say and do, As the Lord lives, what my God says, that I will speak. Grant that I never help the wicked and nor love those who hate the Lord; but rather, I pray, that some good be found in me, and that I keep my heart set to seek God. Let the fear of the Lord be upon me, I pray.

Although I may learn the literatures and languages of this world, remind me that the world has no authority over me and that the only authority that they have was given them from above. I pray that I will not defile myself with the things of this world.

Thank you Lord that you submitted to the will of the Father and the cross. When you said, “It is finished,” the price of my redemption was paid. Thank you that you were the sacrificial Lamb of God that took away the sins of the world. Now keep your blood on the doorposts and lintel to the door of my heart so that eternal death will passover me! Keep me in your will. In Jesus’ name I pray.  Amen.

Prayer October 24           2 Chronicles 20 .............. Daniel 2 .......................... John 20-21

O Lord, when I am afraid I will set my face to seek the Lord. You are the God of the heavens and earth. You rule over all the kingdoms and the nations of this earth. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you. Today I trust in your great power and your protection.

Blessed be the name of God forever and ever, to whom belong wisdom and might. He changes times and seasons; he removes kings and sets up kings; he gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding; he reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with him. To you, I give thanks and praise, O Lord.

I thank you Lord Jesus that you arose from the dead. Thank you for the forgiveness of sins. Thank you for the Holy Spirit. May the Holy Spirit always dwell in me. Now send me where you would have me go. Grant that I always do you Holy will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer October 25           2 Chronicles 21-22 ......... Daniel 3 .......................... Acts 1

O Lord, great gifts of silver, gold and valuable possessions are not a substitute for doing what is right in the sight of the Lord. Now help me to walk in a way that I may escape your wrath so that my downfall will not be ordained by you. Lord help me that I never listen to the counsel of wicked counselors.

I know that you are able to deliver me from the fiery furnace and if you determine not deliver me, help me to still stand fast and not bow to the gods of this world. Grant that I never worship the images of this world nor pay any attention to them. I will reserve my obeisance for you, O Lord.

Lord, you promised before you ascended to heaven that you would baptize your believers with the Holy Spirit. Thank you that you have filled me with the Holy Spirit and may I be a witnesses for you on this earth. Help me to brighten the corner of this earth in which I live. These things I ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Prayer October 26           2 Chronicles 23 .............. Daniel 4 .......................... Acts 2

O Lord, I covenant between myself and all of my children that we will be the Lord’s people. We will praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all his works are right and his ways are just; and those who walk in pride he is able to humble—clothe me with a humility that pleases you, Lord.

Lord even the king Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged you! For he said: “Peace be multiplied to you! It has seemed good to me to show the signs and wonders that the Most High God has done for me.” I pray for the day when all kings and leaders on this earth acknowledge you!

Thank you Lord that the day of Pentecost arrived and that you sent the promised Holy Spirit to all in that upper room and all were filled. Grant me that I am a child of the promise for you have called me to yourself. Thank you  again for the promise to pour out your Spirit on all flesh. Thank you that all who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer October 27           2 Chronicles 24 .............. Daniel 5 .......................... Acts 3-4

O Lord, thank you for all of those who do what is right in the eyes of the Lord all the days of their life. Now help my hands find work to do for the kingdom of God. Grant me resolve to keep all of the commandments of the Lord, so that you may prosper me at your pleasure. I pray that I never forsake the Lord, so that he will not forsake me.

Lord I pray that you will help me to live in a way that I have a good report; for I seek an excellent spirit and a knowledge and understanding of your ways. Let your character be present in me, O Lord. I will share that which you have given to me. I seek you, O Lord and not the gifts and rewards of others!

Let us repent therefore, and turn back, that our sins may be blotted out, and that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for us, Jesus. Now keep us until the restoring of all the things which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago. It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who was crucified, whom God raised from the dead—that these things are possible.  For Jesus is the stone that was rejected by the builders, which has become the cornerstone. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. Thank you Lord for the name of Jesus for I pray these things in his name.  Amen.

Prayer October 28           2 Chronicles 25 .............. Daniel 6 .......................... Acts 5-6

O Lord, grant to me to do what is right in your sight with my whole heart. May I never seek the gods of a people who cannot deliver their own people from your hand; but rather help me live in a way that no ground for complaint or any fault may be found in me because I am faithful to you.

In the face of trouble or in the absence of trouble may I pray three times a day as Daniel did. He cared not for the king’s command; but trusted in you, O Lord, to be his help. Again, Lord I pray that I will always seek you regardless of the obstacles the devil has designed for me!

Lord, your apostles were released from man’s prison and told by you to “Go and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.” My desire is to speak the words of this Life to all that I can. In Jesus I trust for God has exalted him at his right hand as Leader and Savior, to give repentance to me and forgiveness of sins. Again, I pray that I will be a true witnesses of the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him. Let the word of God continue to increase, and the number of your disciples be multiplied today. May they be full of grace and power, doing thy works among the people. For none can dispute the greatness of your power. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer October 29           2 Chronicles 26-27 ......... Daniel 7 .......................... Acts 7

O Lord, may I always do what is right in your sight and set myself to seek God, to be instructed in the fear of God. I know that you will fight against those who try to destroy me. Keep me from the leprosy of sin in my body, soul, and spirit.

Lord I know that the Ancient of Days will take his seat; and that ten thousand times ten thousand will stand before him; the court will sit in judgment, and the books will be opened. May I find favor on that great day with my name in the book of life. And I pray that I will live with you in your everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away. Your kingdom is one that shall never be destroyed.

Grant to  me that I will not be a stiff-necked person, uncircumcised in heart and ears, and may I never resist the Holy Spirit; but rather let me be circumcised in heart, hear with my ears and submit to the Holy Spirit that all may be well with my soul. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer October 30           2 Chronicles 28 .............. Daniel 8 .......................... Acts 8

O Lord, I am defeated when I do not do what is right in your eyes. Let the works of my hands be for your kingdom and not for the kingdoms of this world. Rather, help me to clothe those that need clothing, give food to those who are hungry and help those who are feeble.

In times of distress let me become more faithful to you instead of less. I know that the end-times will be terrible—so bad that you shorten the days or else no flesh would be saved. Grant to me to be prepared for the end time and your coming kingdom!

I pray that I proclaim your word until you come or I am called home. Lord, you see my heart and know the intent of my heart, I pray that it is right before you. Give me boldness to proclaim the good news of your word wherever I may be and to all. Lord, I want to be sensitive to your leading, that I will go where you tell me to go and that I will do all according to what you say. Open the scripture to my understanding that I may share your word with others. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Prayer October 31           2 Chronicles 29 .............. Daniel 9 .......................... Acts 9

O Lord, may I always do what is right in the eyes of the Lord, consecrate myself to you and to the work that my hands find. Grant that I never forsake you nor turn away my face from the habitation of the Lord nor turn my back to you, Lord.

O Lord our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his pleas for mercy, and for your own sake, O Lord, make your face to shine upon your sanctuary, your temple—our bodies, incline your ear and hear. Open your eyes and see our desolations. For I do not present my pleas before you because of my righteousness, but because of your abundant mercy.

Lord, grant to me to never fear those that are against your church—your people; but rather help me to be bold and obedient to your commands. Now let me see your hand and be filled with the Holy Spirit and increase in strength in you, O Lord. These things I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
