“From the rising of the sun let His praise be heard. From the east to west and the north to south, let everything that has breath praise the Lord forever. Let everything in my soul praise the Lord.” Hillsong Live Lyrics—Reuben Morgan

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise Him in his mighty heavens!  Praise Him for His mighty deeds; praise Him according to His excellent greatness!  Praise Him with trumpet sound; praise Him with lute and harp! Praise Him with tambourine and dance; praise hHm with strings and pipe! Praise Him with sounding cymbals; praise Him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord!  Praise the Lord! [Psalm 150:1-6]

O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt You; I will praise Your name, for You have done wonderful things, plans formed of old, faithful and sure. [Isaiah 25:1]

Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge His name. [Hebrews 13:15]

Genesis 2:7          Romans 12:1          Ephesians 5:19          Jude 1:25

LET EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE HIM

God formed man and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. Genesis 2:7 From that moment it was intended that man praise God—praise Him everywhere and in every way. Praise the Lord! Praise God in His sanctuary; praise Him in His mighty heavens! Praise Him for His mighty deeds; praise Him according to His excellent greatness! Praise Him with trumpet sound; praise Him with lute and harp! Praise Him with tambourine and dance; praise Him with strings and pipe! Praise Him with sounding cymbals; praise Him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Psalm 150:1-6 For He is our God; we will exalt Him and praise Him for the wonderful things He has done for us; for His plans are faithful and sure. Isaiah 25:1 We must present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. It is our spiritual worship. Romans 12:1 Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge His name. Hebrews 13:15 And when we meet with one another, let us address one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with our hearts. Ephesians 5:19 Now to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:25

Prayer—O Lord! You formed us from the dust of the earth to praise You. In the best way that we know we will praise You. Whatever we have to praise You with—we will use. Whatever we can do to praise You—we will do. Wherever we may be—we will praise You there. For all of Your wonderful deeds—we praise You. With musical instruments and with singing—we praise You. We raise our hands to You; we dance before You—with all of our might we praise You. We offer ourselves as a living sacrifice to you, O Lord. Now let the fruit of our lips be praise to Your holy name. Even when our praise is not outward—we make melody in our hearts in praise to You. We now have breath—we will praise You until we do not have breath. Now to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

“The climax of God’s happiness is the delight He takes in he echoes of His excellence in the praises of His people.” John Piper   Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; make melody to Him with the harp of ten strings! Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts. Psalm 33:2-3

[Psalm 150:3-6]

He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.  Many will see and fear, and put their trust in the Lord. [Psalm 40:3]

addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart. [Ephesians 5:19]

I Chronicles 15:16          Psalm 33:2-3            James 5:13          Colossians 3:16

PRAISE HIM WITH SONGS AND INSTRUMENTS

David also commanded the chiefs of the Levites to appoint their brothers as the singers who should play loudly on musical instruments, on harps and lyres and cymbals, to raise sounds of joy. I Chronicles 15:16  King David and all the psalmists knew how to praise God with songs and instruments—Praise Him with trumpet sound; praise Him with lute and harp! Praise Him with tambourine and dance; praise Him with strings and pipe! Praise Him with sounding cymbals; praise Him with loud clashing cymbals! Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Psalm 150:3-6 God has always been praised with those instruments common to that era in time. We must do the same today. Give thanks to the Lord with the lyre; make melody to Him with the harp of ten strings! Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts. Psalm 33:2-3 We can still sing to Him a new song; but our instruments may have changed. Aptly written new songs are still songs of praise to our God; and they are a message that causes people to see Him and to put their trust in Him. Psalm 40:3 If we are suffering, let us pray; but when we are cheerful—let us sing praise to Him. James 5:13 Our worship leaders’ intent is to get us to sing new psalms, old hymns and spiritual songs—making melody to the Lord with our hearts. Ephesians 5:19 Let us follow their lead. Let those that play, play skillfully. Let the rest or us express our worship—sing—raise our hands and be verbal and active.  Praise our God. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. Colossians 3:16

Prayer—O Lord! We praise You today. With our electrical instruments—our stringed instruments and our percussion instruments we praise You today. These we use as vehicles of worship—worship that flows from our hearts. Those of us who cannot play an instrument, offer our voices to sing Your praise. With our instruments we will play new songs, hymns and spiritual songs—with our voices we will sing; with both instruments and voices, we will praise You.  Whatever we have to offer to You—we give up in praise to You. For You alone are holy, holy, holy and You alone are worthy of all of our praise.  Now keep a melody in our hearts as we praise You. In Jesus’ name we ask for all of this. Amen.

Yet You are holy, enthroned on the praises of Israel. Psalm 22:3 “I was not born to be free—I was born to adore and obey.” C. S. Lewis

And Jesus answered him, "It is written, "'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.'" [Luke 4:8]

Ascribe to the Lord the glory due His name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness. [Psalm 29:2]

for it is written, "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God." So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. [Romans 14:11]

Psalm 95:6               Isaiah 12:5               John 4:24               I Peter 2:5

PRAISE HIM

“It is written, “'You shall worship the Lord Your God, and Him only shall you serve.’" Luke 4:8 Oh come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker! Psalm 95:6 Give Him the glory due His name.  Worship Him in the splendor of holiness. Psalm 29:2 Sing praises to the Lord, for He has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth. Isaiah 12:5 All through the Bible we are encouraged to worship Him. So how are we to worship Him? We worship Him in spirit and truth. John 4:24 We are like living stones being built up as a spiritual house. We must offer spiritual sacrifices, our praise, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. I Peter 2:5 It is our reasonable service to Him. We can bow our knees and praise Him—confess to Him now; or we can do it later; we will all give an accounting to Him. We will all bow our knees and acknowledge Him. We should want a lot of praise and worship in our accounts! Romans 14:11-12 Where there is praise and worship of God—He is there for God inhabits the praise of His people.

Prayer—O Lord! We adore You. We love You and respect You. We praise You in every situation. In the good and in the bad we are going to praise you. “I am going to praise You when I’ve got the blues, I’m going to praise You when I’ve got no shoes, I’m going to praise You on the mountain top, down in the valley I don’t want to stop, in all things I’m going to praise You.” Lyrics from “In All Things Praise the Lord” by David Huff  We want to be Your habitation. We will make Your name known to all we meet. We will worship You in spirit and in truth. We recognize that all praise and glory belong to You. We give You all. Now help us to glorify Your name on every occasion. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.

“Man’s true end is to glorify God and to enjoy Him for ever.” Arnold J. Toynbee The Lord has established His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all. Psalm 103:19

And to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him; His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom one that shall not be destroyed. [Daniel 7:14]

For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen. [Romans 11:36]

and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. [Revelation 1:6]

I Peter 4:10-11          Psalm 134:2          Psalm 103:22          I Peter 5:11

GIVE HIM GLORY AND DOMINION

And to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him; His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom one that shall not be destroyed. Daniel 7:14 Our God must be praised in everything that we do—when we speak—when we serve; so that in everything our God may be glorified through Christ Jesus. To Him belong glory and dominion forever and ever.  I Peter 4:10-11 So lift up your hands in church and bless the Lord. Psalm 134:2 Praise the Lord for all His works, in all places of His dominion—everywhere—Bless the Lord, O my soul! Psalm 103:22 For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Romans 11:36  All glory belongs to Him! Now to Him be the dominion forever and ever. I Peter 5:11 Words fail us when we try to express how we should give Him the praise due Him; but Scripture always says it best. We must always remember that praise not expressed from the heart is not praise at all. And from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. Revelation 1:5-6

Prayer—O Lord! Teach us how to praise You from our heart. We will open our mouths—fill them with praise for You. All glory and dominion belong to You; for You have created all things. The only thing that will not be destroyed is Your kingdom. We thank You and praise You that You made a way for us to be part of Your kingdom. So whether we are exalted or brought low—whether we are blessed with abundance or brought to nothing, we will praise You and give You the glory; for Your glory and honor belongs to You alone. Only You can bestow on man Your blessing. To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.

"Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:11

and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His great might that He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. [Ephesians 1:19-21]

For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. [Romans 1:20]

And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who is seated on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, “Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created.” [Revelation 4:9-11]

I Chronicles 29:11          Psalm 29:1-2          I Peter 1:7          Revelation 19:6

GIVE HIM GLORY, HONOR, AND POWER

Give Him glory, honor and power! Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is Yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head above all. I Chronicles 29:11 The psalmist calls on the heavenly beings to credit God with glory and strength—give Him the glory due His name. Worship Him in the splendor of holiness. Psalm 29:1-2 It was with God’s great power that He raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. Ephesians 1:19-21 Our hope is that the tested genuineness of our faith results in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Peter 1:7 “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.” Revelation 19:6  For to Him belongs all of our praise and glory and honor. Even unrighteous men should see Your power; For His invisible attributes, namely, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. Romans 1:20 There is no excuse to not acknowledge God. If we have a difficult time giving God our praise and glory—then we would not feel at home in heaven. For heaven’s anthem is a song of praise to Him. And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to Him who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before Him who is seated on the throne and worship Him who lives forever and ever. They cast their crowns before the throne, saying, "Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created.” Revelation 4:9-11

Prayer—O Lord! All glory and honor and power belong to You. The thing we must do is to return glory and honor and power back to You for our lives must be a reflection of You—reflected back to you and the world. You are exalted O Lord. God with Your great power You raised up Jesus Christ form the dead after He had purchased our salvation on the cross. Thank You for salvation. Then Jesus was seated on the right hand of God— far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. The works of Your hand display Your power and might.  We acknowledge that You are creator of all. Thank You for creation. Now keep us for the day when we prostrate ourselves and join the living creatures in heaven and the twenty-four elders in proclaiming, “Worthy are You, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created.” Keep us in Christ Jesus we pray. “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.” We ask for all of these things in the name of Jesus. Amen.

And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” Revelation 5:13

to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. [Jude 1:25]

Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah!  For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. [Revelation 19:6]

And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” [Revelation 5:13]

Revelation 19:1          Isaiah 42:8          Habakkuk 2:14          Psalm 19:1

GIVE HIM BLESSING, HONOR, GLORY, AND MIGHT

To the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:25 After this I heard what seemed to be the loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, crying out, “Hallelujah!  Salvation and glory and power belong to our God.” Revelation 19:1 Thank God for salvation! Thank God that He has the power to effect salvation. To Him we give glory!  For He is the Lord; that is His name; He will give His glory to no other, nor should we ever give our praise to an idol. Isaiah 42:8 For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Habakkuk 2:14 Even the heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork. Psalm 19:1 To get a little taste of heaven here on earth, we should give Him radical praise. We should shout with voices of victory—praise His name and declare His mighty works. For we shall hear in heaven the voice of a great multitude, like the roar of many waters and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, crying out, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns. Revelation 19:6 And then we will hear “every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” Revelation 5:13

Prayer—O Lord! “To the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever.” We praise You on this earth for we know that heaven is giving You the praise and glory that You so richly deserve. We thank You for our salvation; for it is through Your great redemption plan that we will be able to join that great multitude in heaven with our praise. Today we join the heavens in declaring Your glory and the handiwork of Your hands. Thank You for giving us a country where we can see Your handiwork in some awesome places—and for a country where we are free to praise and worship You in our rehearsal for praising and worshipping You forever in heaven. We pray that we are numbered with every creature in heaven that is saying, “To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!” We ask for all of these things in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

[Psalm 150:1-6]

And the commander of the Lord's army said to Joshua, “Take off your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so. [Joshua 5:15]

And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” [Revelation 7:11-12]

I Timothy 1:17          Psalm 93:1-2, 4          Zechariah 14:9          Jude 1:25          I Chronicles 29:1

BLESSING AND GLORY AND WISDOM AND THANKSGIVING. AND HONOR AND POWER AND MIGHT BE TO OUR GOD FOREVER AND EVER!

We praise You! “To the King of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” I Timothy 1:17 We cannot say these praises nearly as well as scripture! “The Lord reigns; He is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed; He has put on strength as His belt. Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved. Your throne is established from of old; You are from everlasting. Mightier than the thunders of many waters, mightier than the waves of the sea, the Lord on high is mighty!” Psalm 93:1-2, 4 We all look forward to the day when God displays His mighty power to defeat all evil—when the Lord will be king over all the earth. On that day the Lord will be one and His name one. Zechariah 14:9 We praise Him for salvation; for He is our Savior. Now to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. Jude 1:25 For “Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is Yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and You are exalted as head above all.” I Chronicles 29:11 There are many places that we can praise Him, many things to praise Him for, and many things we can use to praise Him. “Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!” Psalm 150:1-6 Finally, read and try to imagine this event in heaven.  Imagine being there! And the commander of the Lord's army said to Joshua, “Take off your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so. Joshua 5:15 I believe that the commander of the Lord’s army is God. Further I believe that in heaven we will be barefooted because all of heaven is holy ground! “And all the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, [Are they all barefooted too?] and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, saying, “Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! Amen.” Revelation 7:11-12

Prayer—O Lord! Our praise goes beyond words today. Today we bow our knees and lift our hearts to You in worship. We say with the hosts of heaven, “Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever!” Now cleanse our hearts and our mouths. Renew our minds.  Cleans our spiritual closets. Help us to always forgive others—to never hold bitterness and unforgiveness in our hearts. Let us remember to talk to You daily and be anxious for nothing. We thank You that You are our salvation; that You have given us life-eternal life. We thank You for supplying our daily needs. Your provision is abundant. We thank You for our families and our friends—our relationships. We thank You that we now have a reason to hope. Our hope is in You. We thank You for freedom of worship in our country; and we thank You that we have freedom to worship in You. Because we have breath—we praise You. We praise You with songs and instruments. Praise the name of our Lord! We give You glory and dominion. We give You glory, honor and power. We give You blessing  and honor and glory and might forever and ever! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever! In Jesus’ name we ask for these things. Amen.
